I made Kalakand this Diwali and thought would make a note of recipe on my blog. I surfed the internet and posting the most common recipe of all.
Its the most simple milk sweet I have seen so far
2 litre milk
3/4 cup Sugar
Cardamom powder to taste
1. Boil 1 litre of milk and then add lemon juice
2. After the milk curdles separate the cheese from whey and keep aside
3.Reduce the rest of 1 litre milk to half and add the cheese
4. Reduce the milk till it solidifies and add 3/4 cup of sugar and cardamom powder
5.Pour mix on greased tray and cut into small squares.
